Cho Ray, more than a Hospital

Hospital project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 73,000 m²

The Cho Ray Hospital in Vietnam, a new 73,000 sqm, 16-floor, 499-bed private hospital, provides first-rate accommodation and treatment. The building features a clinical podium, additional wards on the upper floors and a mid-level garden.

CONNECTION AND CIRCULATION STRATEGY
The circulation strategy is based on individually identifying each floor using colours, numbers and graphic images. Two vertical atriums open in the interior, the two large voids opening the building vertically. These spaces define a visually impressive internal environment while providing natural light to the heart of the building on every floor.

TYPES OF ROOMS
The hospital offers seven different room types that have been designed to accommodate all possible end-user demands. However, the room types have also been designed in such a way that they can be interchanged with minor impact on the interior design; two adjacent single rooms can be converted into a single-executive room and vice versa.
Patient rooms are organised into three standard blocks, with executive and VIP areas facing the boulevard, and standard rooms located on the southern façade. All the rooms are designed to reflect a non-clinical aesthetic and feature a hotel-like atmosphere and interior design.
